An extremely rare 'offstrike' from aureus dies of Carus and Carinus

Carus, with Carinus as Caesar, 282-283. 'Denarius' (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.78 g, 6 h), 'offstrike' from aureus dies, Ticinum. IMP C M AVR CARVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Carus to right. Rev. KARINVS NOBIL CAES Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Carinus to right. Cf. Calicó 4295 = Cohen 3 = RIC 133 (same dies, but as an aureus and misattributed to 'Lugdunum'). Trau 3176 (same dies). Extremely rare and perhaps the finest known example. Somewhat smoothed and repatinated, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
